Crista Vesel is the co-author of the book Human & Organization Potential and is an Adjunct Professor for the University of Alabama at Birmingham's HOP pathway in the Advanced Safety and Engineering Management master’s degree program. Crista is a safety communication specialist whose focus on the language of learning has helped government agencies and private companies around the world value their people during normal work and after incidents through Learning Reviews and Language Reviews.

Crista holds a degree in Communication and earned a Master of Science in Human Factors and Systems Safety with Professor Sidney Dekker, who introduced the ‘New View’ of human error to the safety world. Her research on the importance of language in workplace safety has added to academic and practical knowledge in a variety of industries.
