Description
Many companies have incorporated Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles into their work, hoping to grow a culture that values people and is open to learning from both accidents and normal work. This workshop will give safety professionals the opportunity to learn practical techniques that can activate these principles and view their organizational culture through a new lens.
This workshop is led by the authors of the book Human & Organization Potential, who have applied HOP and learning-based safety concepts to many industries around the world. This workshop will be dialogic, with small group exercises that include:
- Culture Mapping, a unique exercise developed by the authors that helps to visualize and understand the deeper levels of organizational culture.
- Case studies will be used to explore HOP theory and real-world application.
Key Takeaways:
- Learn to map organizational culture and explore the anchors that drive ‘work as done’.
- Understand the value of diverse shared perspectives in making sense of accidents.
Learn why HOP is a conversation, not a recipe.
