Andrew Kidd brings a broad background in residential and commercial construction, with experience as a journeyman carpenter, site superintendent and construction manager. He joined WorkSafeBC in 2007 as an Occupational Safety Officer on the Residential Construction Team in North Vancouver.

In 2012, Andrew transferred to the Abbotsford Regional Office, expanding his work to both Construction and General Industry. He later served as Acting Senior Regional Officer in Abbotsford and Surrey, and with the Agriculture Team, before becoming Manager, Prevention Field Services – Construction East, based in Port Moody.

Andrew also spent two years as Senior Manager, Prevention Quality, within WorkSafeBC’s Prevention Practices and Quality Department.

He is currently Director, Prevention Field Services – Occupational Safety. He is known for a collaborative, people-first leadership style that emphasizes listening, practical problem-solving and supporting teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
